Don't have a team?

Playing in a free agent league can be a great option if your child doesn’t already have a team. Here are the key benefits:
1. Easy Entry With No Team Required
Free agent leagues allow kids to sign up individually, so you don’t need to organize a full team or know a coach in advance. This makes getting started simple and stress-free.
2. Opportunity to Meet New Friends
Children are placed on teams with other free agents, which helps them quickly meet new teammates. It’s a great way to build friendships with kids they might not otherwise meet.
3. Balanced Teams
Leagues usually try to create teams that are fair and evenly matched, so your child isn’t put at a disadvantage for not coming in with an established group.
4. Growth in Social and Teamwork Skills
Joining a team of new players encourages kids to develop communication, cooperation, and leadership skills—valuable both on and off the field.
5. Exposure to New Coaches and Play Styles
Free agent teams are often coached by league-provided or volunteer coaches, giving your child the chance to learn from different coaching styles and gain fresh perspectives on the game.
6. Less Pressure and More Fun
Many free-agent teams have a relaxed, welcoming environment since everyone is starting fresh. This often leads to a more fun, low-pressure experience.
